Overview

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a multi-office national firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Tampa, FL Office. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing Personal Injury Protection (PIP) defense litigation and other First Party defense litigation as time and interest permits.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and performing legal review and analysis and advising on issues for the area of law practiced.
  • Conducting legal research on PIP issues and preparing complex dispositive motions involving PIP.
  • Preparation and attendance at client conferences, hearings and depositions as required.
  • Timely preparation of discovery to opposing parties, and respond to discovery by opposing parties.
  • Meeting requirements for designated minimum billable time.
  • Performing other duties as assigned in a variety of first party and coverage cases.

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate should have 2+ years of experience in Personal Injury Protection defense practice.
  • Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and research skills as well as attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Adobe, Outlook, Excel, Westlaw and time-billing software.
  • Must be able to work independently, flexible time and location options will be considered, and produce an accurate and high-quality work product.
